I also bought a truxport.... love it. Extremely easy install and unless you take your truck on submarine missions, you shouldn't ever have a water problem... I don't!

I've got an Extang Trifecta soft fold ... no issues with water leaks since I got it in June. Install was a total of 10 minutes and simple (2 clips and 2 clamps) to remove when it's not needed

One of my big considerations was the access cover is MADE IN THE USA.
I do not know about the other brands, maybe they are too. That is
one of the reasons I bought a Ford F150 (ASSEMBLED IN MICHIGAN), and Ford did not ask for any bailouts! The dealer I bought the cover from - truck outfitters -told me that Access was his preference, but the others were good too. They all will be water resistant, unless you go on submarine missions.lol. I had to copy that one......just was too funny!

Im also looking for some advice.

Id like to get a low profile hard cover. I do not like anything that snaps on or anything that is a laether/vinyl finish. I guess fiberglass would be my only option so I can paint it to match the truck. I assume they only open upwards with gas shocks.... havent really seen any other options as far as that goes. I kinda like the back flip design, but just think Id be much happier with a hard, painted lid instead.

But my main concern is that it sits low to the bed rails. I have seen some other hard lids that look HUGE on the back of the truck and I want to avoid that at all costs.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations! Pictures and/or links are both welcomed and appreciated.

I purchased the Ford tonneau cover with my truck. I've gotten in the bed, closed it up, and had someone spray it down with a hose in all sorts of directions to check and see how well it sealed. Not a drop came in.

The only downside to this cover, and it's me just being picky, is the location of the keyhole and latch. It's a few inches in on the top of the cover. so unlocking it and having keys scratch up against the cover might be a concern. Other than that, it's a great cover. A.R.E or Leer might be better options depending on price, but I got the Ford tonneau cover for about $700, and it's covered under the truck's warranty, as well as it is financed with the vehicle. So I figured it was the way to go for me.

You can see it open here, this is the only picture I have of it currently.

Well I went ahead and walked out to the parking lot and took a couple pictures for you.

I have a retractable tonneau cover (it's called the retrax) on mine that way you still can use the bed of your truck, not like the hard top ones from the dealership.

I like those. For me, a more sealed bed was what I needed. With those retractable covers, there are too many entry points for water.

I also needed a cover that had some more height to it. My bass drum case just fits under my tonneau, which adds another 1.5" of height over the bed rails. All of the other style tonneau's would not have worked. My fiberglass cover is still removable, though might require 2 people so it doesn't get scratched.

Nice Platinum

I had an Undercover on my Frontier and just ordered another for my Screw. Hard cover. Locks. Easy up and down. Quick removal (less than 5 min). Comes with brackets to hang it on the wall when you take it off. Strong as crap, I could sit on the cover and it didn't flex, they advertise that it will support 1400lbs. Weighs 50-60 lbs. Best part is that it can be had for less than $700 shipped. if you want one that is/can be color matched, they just started making a smooth one ready for paint.
