Default Tonneau Covers

I'm in the market for a new Tonneau Cover, I currently use a Tonnopro, which I actually bought for my previous truck (GMC), so its always been a little too long for the bed of my F150. That aside its been a good cover, I like the trifold / hard backed setup for security and you can load stuff on top as well. but its looking a bit tired. So before I go and buy another one the same I wondered what everyone else was using, what experience they had with different products etc.

Tonnopro

Tonnopro
I'm running with a Peragon cover. I just installed it last week and I really like it. The way it's designed you don't lose any visibility and very little bed space. It's easy to take out and it's very quite too. I'd recommend checking them out.

I know you're looking for a hard cover, but just in case you're on the fence you might want to take a look at the Truxedo Truxport. I had over a foot of snow on it without any problems and with the roll-up design it will give you full access to your entire bed. It's also about half the price of the Tonnopro. Just a thought.....

I have the Bakflip MX4. This is considered a flush mount (does not sit on top of the box) and this model allows you to open and close the tailgate without lifting the cover. Leaves the stake pockets exposed so you can use them for racks or anchors.

I'm running a Retrax PowertraxPRO MX Tonneau Cover...
It has it's own FOB to remote open/close the cover. The cover locks at any position. Does a great job of keeping rain out of the bed. Great peace of mind when I go travelling with the family and have all our gear in back.

Also installed a Peragon cover recently, really like the look and design. Really easy to pop open and doesn’t go against the back window like my previous Bak flip. Was able to fit 6 tires back there with it still attached.

Only negative I’ve seen is when a heavy downpour hits a few drops of water sneaks through a side of the panel. But not enough to get anything damp.

Undercover, 3 panel, hard surface, folding. About the same as the Bakflip 4. Got the Undercover because my local truck parts dealer had 1 in stock and I needed to leave for a trip just after I purchased my F150. I like the cover.

I've bought a lot of tonneau covers over the years and the one thing I have found is you don't need to send a lot of money to get a good cover. The last truck I had I spent $800 on a Backflip cover for it and in less than 2 years it looked like a total piece of junk. The tonneau I bought for my current truck is a Tyger brand I found on Amazon, I believe it was $169, it's very HD and the framework that holds it on is top quality and it fit perfect. It's been on the truck for about 7 months now, it went through the 100 degree summer and still looks as good as the day I installed it.
