First off i didn't say he lied to me. I said he lied in the post to make it sound like I was only offering $50 below what he asked for.

Comparing Walmart and a independent store is just stupid. When I go to independent store I always negotiate because I know they always have headroom. If you don't that's your prerogative.

I'm not bitching about 10 bucks. I posted he didn't split the difference to make a sale and told the op he could pm me if he wanted info on the vender i purchased from. I tried to keep it private until Luke decided to post to have people pm him for pics of the pms which if you only take sections of it can be taken out of context.

I'm just providing my side and proof. You sound a little bitter and are probably associated with him in some way. Either way both sides are out there and nothing more is needed to said about it. Everyone can read and make their own decisions.

I think it's sad that you took to posting the info you did about how things went down, but you're entitled to do what you want to do.

In fact, AutoCustoms.com is part of THI Ecommerce, which is part of Truck Hero. So, what in fact you did was screw the little guy out of a few bucks by buying from the manufacturer of the product, a $1B company. Nice going...

Truck Hero owns:

Rugged Liner
Husky Liner
N-Fab Parts
A.R.E. Accessories
BAK Industries
Retrax Holdings
Advantage Truck Accessories
Undercover
BedRug
Truxedo
Extang

He didn't say you did, he was speaking in general. I've never seen an independent store allow negotiation on products. Alright so if you go to a mom and pop gas station do you try to argue with them over the price of gas? No you just pay it. I still think you are being an idiot. The only time negotiation is appropriate is when "make offer" is applied. That phrase was not used anywhere in either of your guys posts. I even said I don't know the vendor nor I never bought anything from him. If anyone is bitter here brother it's you. Get your head out of your ***!

Did you even read the pm attachment? the $50 he is talking about is because i sent 'I was hoping to be around $650 would you be able to spit the difference to $680?' if you copy and paste only the first part of that sentence what do get?

WTF Walmart, gas stations? Have you ever been in a specialty store that sells parts? YOU CAN NEGOTIATE

IMO he screwed himself out of the sale and drove me to look for another vendor.

I simply went to the manufactures site to see who they had under their online retail links, clicked on the first link and called. Matt was extremely nice and it wasn't until after I finalized the order that i asked more questions about the company and found out their association with the manufacturer.

p.s. i don't feel bad about buying from Amazon either.

I've never seen Napa or car quest either negotiate on a one time purchase. Now I've seen them give discounts to repair shops because they are always buying goods from them. But I don't think this applies to you because you are only buying one cover not a 100 of them. To answer your other question about paying msrp. I don't because I'm too tight to take the depreciation hit on them. I always buy one year old used vehicles. You save all kinds of money. I think your *** is a little sore because you are getting called out for being idiotic with your story telling. I hope a bird ****s on your head in the next couple of days. Karma always wins.

You've proven you're incapable of understanding and need to result to name calling to validate yourself. Be well.

p.s. it is said that bird poop is a sign of good luck, thank you for the well wishes.

Haha. Thank you. You have my permission to do so. In return all I ask is do a good gesture for someone.
