Post Tire Setup

Hello all,

Currently just purchased a 2017 XLT FX4. I want to put on some new tires here pretty soon, and was looking at either the Nitto Ridge Grappler or the Goodyear Duratrac. Looking for a tire to perform well in snow and dry weather. Read reviews and both seem to be good tires. Just curious if anyone is running these (or have run both) and how they like them.

Cheers!

We've had a few customers of ours run the Nittos and they have had great reviews. Unsure on the Duratracs, however, I know the Nittos are a great tire and have some great durability.

Where do you live? It's an important factor when it comes to choosing tires.

We have harsh winters where I live and I ran Duratracs once. Did not like how they handled in snow and on ice. Would not buy them again.

The Duratracs were OK, but the Falken A/T3W blows them away.

In CA. Just looking for a solid tire to perform in winter conditions and dry conditions because I am up in the mountains frequently

How'd they perform in the snow?

Pretty awesome. I did a review of them on YouTube last winter. But I'm hoping to try them in some deeper stuff this year.

Yep... Wondering how they would be in harsh winter conditions. We get 6 to 10 feet of snow every winter & lots of freezing rain, slush, ice, etc... so I can't rely on most of the reviews available on the internet, since a lot of people don't live in these extreme conditions. Most of the ''winter rated'' tires out there are not good enough for our road conditions.

Also wondering how good the Geolandars g015 are under these same conditions. Can't seem to find a good Canadian review. lol

Cooper has a brand NEW Canadian tire, the WSC , I was reading about the design and it said specifically designed for Canadian customers who wanted a summer/winter/snow tire in one.
Google it Eh !!
