Smile Tire question

hey guys, im buying a 1993 F-150 reg. cab short box in a week, and have a question about tire size.

right now it has a 4in suspension lift, and a 3in body lift, for a total of 7in total. its on 33's, but i want to bump that size up a little. Do you think i would be able to fit 36-37's on there or do you think i should stick to 35's?

thanks

personally i'd stick to 35's for gas mileage and so the motor can keep up.

Does it have the stock rear end on it? You can fit 37” tires but there are other things to consider. The bigger the tire, the less the gas mileage you will receive, horsepower and torque if you don’t regear, especially in the 30 – 45 mph range. If you have a 3.73 rear end and add 37” tires, your axle ratio which change by 13% dropping it down to 3.26. To bring it back up to stock you would need to change your rear end by adding 13% or 4.21, but since those 37” tires add more drag you would probably need to go up to a 4.56 rear end. Just something to keep in mind when going with very large tires.
