I just had a bigger one than that removed yesterday. They used the new plug/patch deal to repair it.

The downside is that everytime they dismount one of these chrome clad wheels, the wheel gets another scratch/mark. I watched the guy do it and he was extremely careful, but it still marked the wheel. The chromed plastic is just too soft for that application. Before my warranty is up, I'll be talking to Ford about the pitting problem anyway.

I hope that your repair went well.

Was in a labor dispute that lasted three years. Hate to think how many tires I have plugged.

Back at home watching rerun's of The First 48 with a plug in my front passenger side tire. Took them about an hour. They were pretty busy but moving fast.

The ride feels fine!

There isn't a discount tire within 50 miles of me, so no, I was not aware of that...

Glad you got it fixed and did not have to pay all that money. I love First 48.

x2 never even seen one, but yeah I payed $21 for a plug/patch combination which involves taking the tire off the wheel and fixing the inside as well.

I keep a plug kit onboard my truck and a mini air compressor for just such occasions.
