Just purchased a 2016 F250 and I noticed on the tires it says maximum pressure 80 psi. On the little yellow sticker in the door jamb it says maximum pressure of 65 PSI.
The dealership could not tell me why there is a discrepancy other than to do what the door jamb says

Anyone know?

 

The max psi on the tires is what you can air up to when hauling heavy loads or towing. On the door jamb 65 psi for everyday driving. My son in law runs 60 to 65 psi in his 250 for daily use.

 

What tires came on your new f-250 ? sound like at least load range "E" tires

 

My son in laws came with Michelin LT275x65x20 that were E rated. I think they're even using Toyo AT's on some models. You really need a E rated tire on these heavy trucks.
