Question tire negative camber problem

I just bought a 1990 f150 5.8 4x4 with 111,000 on it and i just noticed the front tires bow in pretty good and there is a 4" body lift. I was wondering what causes this problem and can it be fixed...also two of the box cross members under the bed where the lift bushings are sitting on are completely rusted and snapped in half where can i find replacements or should i just replace the bed. I would appreciate the help this is my first truck that i picked up for 1200 bucks has alot of ford cancer from michigan weather but the drive-train seems to run like a champ so far I really want to fix this bad boy up.

I had negative camber as well, in my case it turned out to be bad lower ball joints

I'm sure there are other things that could cause it, but that's one thing to check. Did you check them by jacking up each wheel and checking for movement while trying to wiggle the wheel with your hands at 6 and 12 o'clock?

4 inch body lift? The biggest they make for those years is a 3. There is however a 4" suspension lift, and if it was put on and didn't have dropped radius arms or something like that (I'll let a lifted member tell you for sure) then your camber is going to be WAY off.

Also, if you looked right after reversing into a parking spot or something, the camber is always messed up then. Drive forward a little bit (100 feet or so so you can really tell) and then look, if it's sitting pretty then, nothing to worry about

Sounds like ball joints but that's wierd that you checked it already. Does that year have torsion bars?

1990 F-150 doesn't have torsion bars. Most likely Dana 44 IFS. The Camber and caster is done at the ball joint. A offset bushing fits over the ball joint spindle and you turn it to make the adjustment. Here is a link to a typical bushing. http://frugalmechanic.com/auto-part/...-bushing-42964

that's a lot of money to throw away on something that might not solve your problem it's really easy to check your ball joints, just get your front wheels off the ground and try to wiggle them with your hands at 12 and 6 o'clock on the tire. It also helps to have a friend do it while you watch the ball joints themselves for movement.

i actually did back it in to the driveway and when i pulled it forward the problem corrected itself like that other guy said so does that mean i need new balljoints or is it normal.
