Back in the 60's I used Go Jo hand cleaner (without grit) and put it on with a brush then wiped off with an old rag and tires looked great with no plastic shine. Also used Lemon Pledge on the seat's and dash. This was on a 1966 GTO that I bought new. Still use Pledge on my ATV. Wish I would have kept the GTO (see pic below)

Turtle wax Black trim restorer works amazing, just MAKE SURE NOT TO GET ON TREADS! or you will slip and slide everywhere. This stuff brings back the brand new look without too much sheen.

Since this is turning into an "old dude" thread..;) We not only used the pledge on the tires, but it was also the first "quick wax". Right on the paint. (acrylic enamel). Mop and glow was the best for the tires the day of a show. Didn't last long though.
I use Endurance now. Best stuff I've ever used and it last for weeks. http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/camarosm.jpg |

Thanks! It's a '69. It was the last car I ever owned before going to trucks.
