Default Timing Chain Rattle

I am new here so if I am doing this wrong please let me know. I am hearing different opinions about this Timing Chain Rattle. I have a 2011 3.5 Eco with less than 63k mi. I have the rattle From cold start! I am hearing it is covered under emissions warranty? But no dealership I have dealt with will honor it. So, I talk to Ford Corp. And I was told if the dealership would diagnosis the rattle then they would assist me with repair. I have been diagnosed and quoted for roughly $2800 for the repairs. I contacted Ford and I feel like the trying to play me for a fool. Asking me how do I know it not just wear and tear vs defective. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

If you have the rattle on start up, most likely it's the phasers and timing chain.
