Default Timing Chain Cover

I understand there are differences on the Coyote 5.0 in mustangs and the "coyote" 5.0 in the trucks. I am looking at adding a power steering pump to a 17' f150. Krc and pbh both offer a pump for the 5.0 but both state the timing chain cover has to be changed. Hate to start taking engine apart, has anyone made a bracket for the Krc pump, that will work on the truck, or should I bite the bullet and start removing the front of the engine? I found a reply on Summit racing from a guy that said he had done so but have no way to contact him.

Curious... what are you going to power?

Any half-decent fab shop can weld up brackets to add something to a belt.

What am I going to power, as in my hydraulic pump? Or as in what is the engine powering, which is an 87 full size bronco. A 2017 chassis has been chopped down to fit under the old 87 body. Most of the modules that support the can bus computer system have been removed, hence the need for hydraulic steering in leu of the factory epas.

Are you keeping the A/C? I know CJ Pony has a bracket for mounting the 2005-2010 pump to the 2011-2014 coyote. They might be a good resource for determining fitment.

Their kit puts the steering pump in the a/c position, but they also mention relocating the A/C. Let us know if you find out anything useful from them.
