plz help.ive got a 1983 f1504x4.my ex boyfriend used my truck to pull a boat last month,drove it 20 miles and parked and said he heard the timing chain drop.now when i try and start the truck it just clicks.no turn over just a click.i guess my question is can u hear a timing chain drop while truck is running,and if the timing chain did drop would u just get a click and no turn over like it is trying at least to start.thx

 

I doubt it is the timing chain, if it droped or anything else, it would have to be towed in. If it just clicks, you have to check all the battery connections to the battery and the starter solenoiid and then the starter.
