Any one out there ever swap stock throttle body for a carb or new set up like Holley or edlebrock.

I know that they make manifolds for the 4.6 so that you can use a carb. Jegs and Summit has them.

Yeah, I haven't looked any further into it but they might make one for the 5.4.

 

curious, why would you want to convert to carb?

 

If you really want to upgrade, why not just grab an intake, throttle body spacer and a programmer?? If you're really wanting engine upgrades these are where I would start vs changing your manifold and going to a carb... just my .02 cents worth though.... AND if you're really wanting BIG power grab yourself a supercharger!!

 

If you buy a throttle body spacer be sure its colorful... Maybe it will look good and then you could have a legit reason why to have a TB spacer... If you dont like the color ship it to me and i will use it for a boat ancor or somthing constructive

 

More of a morbid curiosity then anything.
