Question thought about grille lights

i was looking into putting driving lights behind my grill got to lookin into if it was legal (south dakota) and this is what i found...kindof fuzzy to me but seems like a negatory.... does look like i could only use them with hi beams

"No auxiliary driving lamp mounted on a motor vehicle, other than a fog lamp, may be lighted at any time the lighted headlamps on the vehicle are on a low beam position. A violation of this paragraph is a Class 2 misdemeanor."

good job finding the law, i just got pulled over about a month ago for having 2 sets of aux. lights on as well as having my factory heads and fogs on at the same time so a total of 8 lights. you can only have 4 lights running at one time. $115 ticket and 2 points i believe. Be careful, i think some states require aux. lights to be covered on the road at all times.

I know here in Cali, you're supposed to have AUX Driving lights covered any time they aren't in use, and they can't be used any time other than off road driving or when the high beams are on. Good job checking up on it, I think that if you don't run them when other people are around and blind them you should be fine.

From the sounds of that law, it seems to me like you're fine to have them, but you can only have them on with your brights or with your headlights off.

I wanna throw some on mine and I think it'd look pretty sweet driving around with the aux lights on and then just the parking lights.
