Default Are these heated mirrors??

Hello,

So I just bought a 2012 F150 FX4. I'm trying to diagnose the common defrogger issue and wanted to figure out if I should be expecting heated mirrors to be heating up at the same time. I have the manual telescoping towing mirrors, but they don't have the heated mirrors symbol on them. The FordEtis lists this truck as having heated mirrors and I have found many online for sale that are listed as heated without the symbol.

Can anyone tell me for sure if these are heated mirrors? Winter is coming.

Thanks so much!

The heater indicator symbol would be in the lower left corner, which is cut off of the picture. Its a rectangle with some wavy lines above it.

OK these mirrors definitely do not have the symbol on them. This 2012 FX4 has the towing package and the luxury package, both of which were supposed to come with the heated mirrors.

The rear window defrost is broken, as so many trucks are, so I'm trying to figure out if the mirrors should be heated too so I can find the problem there. Maybe I'm chasing my tail.

Thank you.

My tow mirrors are heated but they don't have the symbol on the mirror, always thought that was odd.

So I swapped relays and the mirrors started warning up, so they're heated. The defroster is still broken, but that's for another day. I don't know if it's worth fixing because I really don't want the rear window to shatter as others have experienced.

Ya I have the fuse pulled for my rear defroster, I don't want to have to worry about it.

Good idea. I will probably try to bypass the rear window and splice the wires so at least the dash light on the button works along with the timer.
