Default theft alarm
My 2016 F-150 Platinum theft alarm keeps going off. When this happens, the tailgate also opens by itself.

Sounds like you have the dreaded open bed virus.

But seriously, you must have the tailgate wired into the alarm. Either wires are shorted or the alarm's computer has a wild hair.
