I rented a Ford Focus a few years ago. The oil filter was leaking from being 'over tightened'. The oil changes were done by a quick change place according to the people who work at the car rental office

I've read that Purolator makes the Motorcraft oil filters for Ford. Anyone else read or hear this?

Purolator does make the Motorcraft filters, but on a separate line that gets inspected by Ford, and the company that makes those two is the same one that makes the WIX filters, The Mann+Hummel Group
