Default Technical question on remote starters

most starters have additional outputs to control certain things. Can these be isolated by certain button sequences?. For example if you have heated seats and want them to come on in the winter but not in the summer when you use the starter.
Thanks

You could always pull the fuses for the heated
seats during the summer months if your remote
starter doesn't have the extras you're after...

I wired mine to turn on the drivers heated seat and both heated mirrors.I have a code alarm which I'v been told is like the factory ford units..can't swear by it since i dont have a factory ford unit to compair it to.
Hitting the start button once starts the truck..hitting it again powers a wire that I ran to 2 separate relays. When the relays energize one turns on both mirrors since they run off the same switch..the seats have seperate switches with 2 heat settings..all I could do with the other relay I had was to turn the drivers seat on high. They all time out like normal so theres no worry there. And in the summer..or if I dont want them on,I just dont hit the start button a second time.
All the alarms I'v seen need relays wired to turn on other options..and they all either have a seperate button or sequence of presses of a button...so just dont turn them on.

on 04 to 06 f150 are easy to wire up .09 and 10 are data i think .if your using a ford remote 6 button.there are 3 out put wires that you controll.you can program them timed or pulse.most after market remotes have atleast 1 output. the heated seats ,folding mirrors and defrost dont need relays .

I am looking to do this any how-to's on the relays to heated seats... that is the only reason I haven't put on a remote starter yet...
