Default Taking care of the truck bed?

I've never owned a truck before. I'm not planning on keeping things stored in the bed. I'm planning on a Line X bedliner. But do I need to keep it dry in there? Just leave it if it rains?

What about a Tonneau cover? Do the roll up ones do anything other than improve aerodynamics a tad? Can those handle snow, or do I need a hard one?

Thanks.... I'm new to trucks, and when I grew up around them no one did bedliners or covers.

Don't worry about rain, just leave it! Either tonneau will do, depends on your budget and tastes....

No need to fret about rain with the line-x. I get wet leaves out just because I don't like making compost in my bed. haha

The tonneau cover can be useful for keeping things dry or more importantly, hidden and secure. Many come with locks so you can safely store luggage, tools, or guns.

As a Texan, I can't speak of snow sturdiness.

I Had my bed Line Xed and then I put in a bed mad so that things don't slide around and then I have a roll up Truxedo cover on it! LOL Yes the cover holds snow just fine and actually the black cover just causes the snow to melt that much faster.
