Default Tailight covers

Hello I have a 2010 f150 Stx and I was suggested to paint the chrome in my tailight a black...cause it would look better but idk how to take off the glass-plastic cover. Please explain?

You have to bake them in the oven. I don't know the exact temp, but if you try a search on this site, or Google, you will find your answer.

From what I've read, the '09-'14 trucks have sonically welded tail light housings, so, baking them to soften the adhesive isn't going to work. You actually have to cut them open. Would be much easier just to buy some Raptor/HD/FX tails, they're already black, and then paint the outside edge black to get rid of the chrome look.
There's a thread around here somewhere about it.

There's another thread here as well, that shows how/where the bucket was cut. Just do a search

Found it for you.
