We bought a little yamaha 2000w generator (quiet as can be, only like 50 dBs when running) and a cheap-o digital amplifier (110v). From there I just plug in my phone and go...

This is what we bought. Its cheap, but we use it only for tailgating so it works perfectly for what we do. With both speakers going its LOOOUUUUDDDD

i'm going to rig up some kind of trailer hitch flag pole and fly a huge American flag, find some fishing rod holders to mount on the tool box, then turn the tool box into a cooler

A generator is the only way to go then. The Yamaha generators are so quiet and fuel efficient its ridiculous. We bought ours used from a rental equipment company. Paid 300 for a 900 dollar generator. We have tailgated over 8 hours and only burned 2 gallons of fuel....

Damn that's pretty good. The quiet-ness is definitely a factor. We have a 5500w genny for our well when powers out, and that thing is pretty loud. Just a hair quieter than a lawnmower, and not as soothing sounding. Although me being me, I may put my old flowmaster on a new genny
