I am experiencing an issue on the ford website.I am attempting to download the latest version of Sync. After I sign in, the site says it must authenticate me, then i get the spinning circle of death...... I have contacted Ford twice, and they recommend clearing cookies, try a different browser, etc. I have tried multiple browsers, cleared history/cookies, even different computers, to no avail. I need a hand here. Does someone have the file that I could get, or any suggestions. I currently am running Sync 3.0 V 1.0. I am attempting to get the apple carplay update. I have already changed my USB hardware, but dealing with the website is becoming less than fun!
Thanks
Here to report that I was successfully able to get my 2012 F150 to go from 4.0.2 (probably the original software the damn thing came with) to 4.6.
Info from syncmyride -
SYNC Generation: SYNC 1
SYNC Version: 4.0.2
Mine is the very plain radio setup. No screen. No NAV. Just the green text. The only reason I did this was to get the AUX to stay on Bluetooth so I didn't have to change it every time. It also come with some other nice quality-of-life changes.
I tried three different USB sticks. The ONLY USB stick that worked was 12 year old 4GB stick. Just like ALL the other forums talk about, you need to use a Windows computer, format it to FAT32, and then simply copy over the two single files and the folder.
I used the files in this ZIP: DR3T-14D544-AG.zip
Hey everyone, sorry for rehashing an old thread. This is the most recent discussion on the topic I’ve found, and I’ve been scouring google and the Wayback Machine for a downloadable link for 4.4 for hours now with no luck. Was hoping someone here could help me out. Recently updated to 4.6 after buying a used truck and it disabled all Siri functionality, so I’m trying to revert.
