Default Super fast blinking left turn indicator?

I have a 2010 XLT 4x4 Screw. As I'm driving around the other day, I go to make a left hand turn and I notice that my blinker is blinking crazy fast. My best guess was I had a turn indicator out (despite the fact that my truck is only 6 months old...less than 10K miles). So, I leave the blinker on, and get out and look....all turn indicators seem to be working -- front, rear, and side mirror. Any ideas on the issue? It's really annoying.

turn on your turn signal and check the front and rear parking lights, one of them isn't flashing...replace that one and the blinking will be back to normal!

Read closer guys....he said that all the lights were blinking like normal. It's gotta be a relay like mentioned in the first response

Hahahaha...ooops. In reading further into it, I realized that the truck is also under warranty too! Considering the culpirt could be a relay, wouldn't he have the same problem if he were to signal to the right too? I still say bulb, as they are the only thing in the circuit that would dictate a fast left or fast right flash...that's why I should have recommended turning on the hazard lights and walk around the truck...unless, of course, the technology has changed; I've been out from under hoods for about 10 years!!

The 04-08 trucks have a common flasher, but maybe the new trucks have one on either side?

I'd check the connections in your trailer harness if you have one, as well.

I thought I read somewhere on a forum that the new trucks do not use a traditional mechanical relay/flasher. Instead, the flashing is all computerized and the clicking sound is just that, a sound effect to mimic the old flashers.

I checked the 2010 owners manual and could not find a flasher relay listed anywhere.

?

I think your right because today i was driving around a parking lot without my seat belt on and had my blinker on. The seat belt light and sound came on while the blinker was on and the blinker sound totally stopped and was turned into the seat belt charm and then went back to blinker sound after seat belt warning stopped. Like a recording..
