has anyone ever seen or heard of suicide doors on a 04-08 f 150 that is single cab? would love to know or see one done!

 

I've seen em before on here but couldn't find any of the pics. Google Image search it and you will get a ton of hits....

 

tried that but the new body style has a small cargo door that opens like a suicide door, but never seen a kit that allows the actual door to open suicide

I think he meant the main door to open suicide, not the rear door.

I've looked for images and haven't come across any. I'm sure someone has done it to a reg. cab. The only problem I see is the access door not being solid. I would think they could be welded shut and then any typical suicide door kit should work. I've only done suicides on VW's before. It was a pain because I ended up way over my head doing too much. I was doing suicide doors, right hand drive conversion and a number of other things. Also back then there wasn't so many pre-fab kits to choose from. We had to find the right hinges and make stuff work.

I would think this would be a fairly straight forward deal once those little doors were welded shut in the back.

 

yeah i thought that welding them shut would be the only way oh well i guess that'll be a task for when i shave the door handles as well i wont install the suicide kit myself there is a company in the dallas area called dfwmotorsports and there work on past vehicles ive seen there were all very legitly done!!

 

Yeah, the welding shouldn't be too bad. Just a lot of bodywork. Like you said, I'd wait till I was getting some other stuff shaved, that way it's all done at the same time. No paint to match or mess up, it'll all be done!
