Default suggestions on removing paint?

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on getting house paint off the outside of my truck? I have a few spots near the bed of my truck any easy ways to do this without messing with the clear coat?

it's not over spray and I already tried bug and tar remover.... I'm a house painter and it's from a bucket I had dirty brushes soking in. I guess I took a turn to fast and it splashed all over the side of the bed. It's a watered down paint stain that wasn't noticed (passenger side) for about a week. I will try to send a pic.

What type of paint? As in oil / Latex?

I assume you don't have a liner in the bed and it's just on the inside of bed?

Damn. I was hoping it would be on a liner. There's a guy on here whose a professional detailer, let me see if I can find his thread he has for detailing advice.

Here it is. If a claybar doesn't work, PM him. Might take a couple days for him to get back to you but I know he's helped a few folks on here.

Trust that helps....

Well we always just used the pressure washer on the truck when we got paint on it.. not the weak little pressure hoses at a car wash a real pressure washer.. ours was a 4000 psi Mi-T-M Im sure if your a painter you have some kind of pressure washer.. just blow it off with that.. latex paint is really easy to get off... you could probably remove it with just soap and a rag with a little elbow grease..

Now one time we were painting a auto shop with bright aluminum roof paint and we parked to close the over spray completly covered the truck.. It was a little harded to remove lol.. we had to go to Sherwin Williams and they gave us EMK it took it right off it left the clear coat a little hazey though.. but after a quick wax it looked brand new again

Latex should be easy to take off when its dry. Use a finger nail to lightly scratch away at it. That will not hurt the clear coat. You can also try a car polish. Not a wax but a polish or clear-coat cleaner or even a "green" rubbing compound.

If that does not work, see if a body shop will give you a squirt of acrysol to try. Gasoline or paint thinner may work and not damage the clear.

Good luck.

I got orange marking paint on my truck... Tossed the can in the back and she opened up and got the outside of my truck. Time basically removed it.
