Now my 30 day tag is expired and the dealer told me it could be up to 8 weeks to get my title. They gave me a rental so I have wheels but now I'm making payments on a truck that is stuck in my driveway. Just wanted to vent a little, thanks for listening.
13fox150 I would think the 30 days was long enough for the dealer to come up with the title ok it's nice of them to have given you a rental but they also should be footing your monthly payment until they get it

I agree 100%. It seems to me something must be wrong with the title for it to take this long. Did you see a carfax report? Is the title clean?

John

PS the Cheeseheads are probabily too busy praying for Bret Farve to return to deal with your paperwork.

There ain't no way I'm going to be paying for a truck that I can't drive because of the dealership.

You should really check into this. They do this stuff all day everyday so why should you get screwed for buying a truck??
The dealer told me Kansas law doesn't allow multiple temp tags. I'm not really versed in KS law because I'm an Illinois native just stationed in KS but I am calling the DMV to look into it.

Oh ok I didn't know that. I figured that different states had different laws.

Ok so I finally got my title today. The best part is I got rear-ended in the rental about one hour before the dealership called me to let me know that my title was in. Ha ha! That's what they get for taking over 2 months to get me my title. I'm just glad it wasn't my truck that got smashed up.

here in indiana they can only give you one tmep tag and it is only for 30 days also.... if there is a screw up for some reason it does suck...when i bought my wifes car it took 27 days for dealer to get paperwork to me to get license... but they gave me a free tank of gas for the inconvenience...
when i got my f150 it took about 6 days to get paperwork. but here the title goes to the lein holder if there is one...
