Default Stupid window.

I learn a lot from the people on this forum, and appreciate all the help I get from y'all. Now so piece by piece my truck is slowly falling apart first the fuel pump in the rear tank and other things now the window dosent work and all it does is make this noise and won't roll up and down... Any ideas?

You can hear the motor in the door when you try to put it up..?

Yes, or down it just makes this sound like is locking up or hung up and won't go down more than 2 inches when it's rolled up all the way.

something on the track wore out , gonna have to take off the door panel

you have to drill the rivets out on most makes/models - not sure about your actual truck though - once you've drilled the rivets out you can just use nuts and bolts to reattach the new one.

The plastic ball bearings were broken up inside the motor. I just took em out and put metal ball bearings and re greased it. Works great now.

yup. You can buy a new motor for too much $, or put metal bearings in. I helped a buddy replace rollers/bearings like this in his Firebird headlight motors, same thing. I think they just get old and soggy. Parts guy told me to replace motor, because whatever caused bearings to go out will do it again. Well that'd be a new motor anyways, so might as well.
I looked at my old one, dont remember it being openable. Yours was I take it? and where'd you find the bearings? Now my passenger window is stupid...
