stuck in park
2001 f150 4.6 when i press the brake my truck won't come out of park, the windows won't work, the wind shield wipers won't work and the door alarm doesn't work. everything was fine 2 days ago
Check your fuses first.
On most cars and trucks there is way to overide the Park interlock. It is a small hole in or near the shifter assembly (some have a plastic cover or a buttom). Find the small hole, insert a small tool like a small phillips screwdriver or nail, and while jiggling the gear shift depress the interlock button and it should come out of park. Your owners manual may make mention of this. Maybe someone with a 2000 f150 can send us a picture.
This method will work even if the battery is dead.
