They were able to get all of the lug nuts off using just a bit of heat, and an air hammer to loosen the threads. All of the studs were fine, but they replaced the lugs.

Price of the lugs plus labor ended up being just over 100 dollars, so nowhere near as bad as we originally thought.

So, two Dynapro ATM tires that cost 160 dollars each cost me 480 bucks to get mounted and balanced haha
Hope they used a torque wrench this time... nice to hear you got her done.

You might want to look into having the studs replaced as well. If they were on that tight you can't be sure they weren't stretched and won't pop while driving especially after you go in for rotations etc and lugs get re-hammered on.

Nice they got it done, but you have heard of rotating your tires every 5K or so, correct? Seems that could have been avoided if you had rotated them on a regular basis. Not only will it make your tires last longer, it prevents lugnuts from seizing up if they are not removed for 4 years.

Yea they need to be off at least once a year and cleaned and rotated. ESPECIALLY if you have aluminum wheels! Had to do a brake change on my grandpa's F250 and it has aluminum rims and he lugs weren't terrible for 3-4 years but my god i had to beat on the wheels for a good 20 min/per wheel. I hate aluminum next to steel. They weld themselves on if you allow it to sit. Anyways, good you got them on. Sucks about the extra bill though.

That's why god created ...
Apply to wheel studs, center of axle hub, and back of the mounting surface of the rim.

*It's the 1st mod' done on any vehicle (used|new) that I've ever purchased.

Glad you got this issue fixed, IMO you gave the shop two too many chances. I would have went to a different shop even if it cost more money based simply on principal.

I do believe man/science created that. Unless I missed the walking on water memo.

Technically God created man, so anything man creates, was created by God, even anti-seize. Just my .02. But I am sure that someone will now say that I came from a single celled amoeba that crawled out of the sea and progressed into various stages of evolution.

21 mm and a breaking bar. If needed put an extension tube on the bar. It will come off. This happens on 150s all the time when a shop over torques them
