My 2011 F150 is stuck in 3rd gear. Drove fine today and tonite it made and awful bang going from Reverse to Drive. I noticed the gear indicator went from Reverse right into 3rd gear and shifted really hard. I brought it into the lane way and if shifts into 4 high ok but will not go into 4 low... it only has 3000km on it
Anyone else have this happen ??

The problem was a dead battery, low voltage caused the tranny not to shift properly. Charged it overnight and it was normal... another problem was why the battery discharges just sitting there.

 

2011 even the battery should be under warranty still, I would take it in either way because of the draining issue.

 

I unhooked my positive battery cable and reconnected and it fixed my problem for now .

 

The things low voltage will do to these trucks
