Many times when I open the door to my truck ('18 F150 Lariat) either the left or right mirror turns all the way to the right and keeps on trying to adjust but it has reached the limits so it just clicks, clicks, clicks. Most of the time they return back to the original adjustment but sometimes I have to re-adjust them. If I retract the mirrors it stops. Any idea what the cause might be and how to stop it? If it matters I'm not using the key fob to unlock the door, just placing my hand on the handle.

 

You may have a wiring/connection problem.

 

Mine does the same.Others on here have reported similar problems. Not sure what the solution/ issue is

 

Welcome to the club! Most days nothing like this happens. Some days it's the right mirror, some days it's the left. Been that way for 6.5yrs/110k miles.

 

Well if anybody is still subscribed there is supposed to be a fix for this. Don't know if the dealership will charge or not.

I'm not sure what the above post means but if you're having the wierd mirror issue where they adjust incorrectly and click, click, click you cna get the fix that I posted done.
