I don't need to. mr7confused has the best idea about it, I think. They'll tug at it and see that something is wrong. Then their little tiny rat sized brain (cause thieves are rats) will get the idea to move on to another. I also think some of the knock off hose clamps have no screwdriver slots.
my dad used to work for a repo company so he has the tools and the know-how to get into almost any car and start it without a key.

That's the one reason I don't like cleaning my truck and having a nice truck. A nice, clean truck is more likely to be a Target.... Chances are nobody is gonna mess with a dirt covered tailgate

I hear you. Change of subject for a post or two. Hows your 5.0 holding up, btw? I've got an 87 with a crate 302 in it. It's NASTY. Stroked and bored over. 500hp before my dad detuned it for me in high school. (I found that out after I came home from college and looked at my carb linkage ha ha!) I unlocked it and BOOOOOM! 7000 rpms here I come! lol.

ah god its noisey. Sounds like valve train noises when I accelerate. Sometimes louder than the exhaust (stock y-pipe and the loudest magnaflow available) and when it actually accelerates. Feels like I'm towing, all the time. hahahaha
