Default Sticker shock..

While my lads was getting his car serviced at the local Ford dealer, I decided to check out a few of the trucks sitting in the lot. The best looking truck by far was the copper King Ranch sitting right out front. it was a beauty but I made the fatal mistake of looking at the price-it was $64,000 Cdn...

I then looked at a gorgeous XTR which had almost everything and it was an inexpensive $42,000. Needless to say, I believe my '04 Heritage is here to stay for a while...

The little Focus ST was pretty cool though....

Yeah, looking at the Monroney labels can give you sticker shock. It's good that trucks generally have big incentives because I wouldn't be able to afford much if the incentives weren't there. The XTR package in Canada is a very popular trim

Thank you for your service.

It was hard to walk away from them...

I do see many XTRs around, my Heritage is an XTR as well so I identified immediately with that.

...thank you for your support, with that we can do anything.

New and used truck prices are insane.
One of the Ford dealers around here had a hideous yellow Tonka edition F150 Supercrew on the lot for $71k a few months ago when I went there for service on a work truck.
No idea what made it cost that much. It had tacky moldings on the sides, fender flares, a lift and chrome wheels and bigger tires so probably about $5k in add-ons to a $40k truck.

Oh yea, the prices will make your brain vapor lock here in the States also. But, as said the incentive/rebates do make you feel like your getting a great bargain though. Pretty smart marketing on Fords part I think.

Also the XLT (XTR in Canada) is the most popular package here also.
