Default Stereo "skips"

Greetings,
I have read through most of the threads involving the B&O Unleashed sound system. None of the threads contain information about the specific issue I'm having. So here we go...
I recently purchased a 2024 Platinum with the Unleashed sound system. Sounds fairly decent when streaming Spotify. However, I am experiencing a "skip" or very brief dead spot in some songs but not others, and sometimes not the same song at the same spot. A very brief, barely noticeable interruption of the sound as if for a split second it goes of and then back on. If I restart the song, the interruption doesn't happen. Sometimes every other song, sometimes not. I did not ever have this issue with my other F-150 using the same phone, same app, and same playlist.
I do not use network radio at all. Too many commercials, and too much talking. I also do not use Sirius. Too expensive for the one or two channels I might listen to. Even those have too much DJ talking and not enough music. Point being, I have only noticed this on Spotify. I have not tried other streaming music services. I can't identify any specific action that might cause this issue. I'd take it straight back to where I bought it for warranty service however I can't replicate the issue. The issue occurs whether I'm plugged in to the USB or not, and I always check to see if the cord is connected properly when this happens. I have an Android Phone, if that matters, and the truck automatically uses Android Auto. My old 2020 Lariat did not use Android Auto, just blue tooth. The 2020 B&O (not the unleashed) seemed to work fine with no skipping or cutting out. So I am reluctant to blame my phone, Spotify, or the cord used. I know that the dealership will not arbitrarily replace the head unit or spend hours chasing a suspected loose connection.
I can only add that when I experience the "skip" and restart the song, it does not skip at that place in the song. However, it may or may not skip on the next song or at all. Other times it will. This issue seems to occur intermittently with no indication of me doing something in the truck that would cause the issue, like road conditions, or turning on or off any other feature of the truck. I am reluctant to call it a loose connection as there is no popping or static whatsoever. Just a very brief split second skip of the song.
For what this option costs, I hope to get to the bottom of the issue.

Welcome to the forum. Have you tried deleting cache on the Spotify app? Try that first before connecting to your truck next time. If that doesn't work, try deleting cache/data to reset the app on your phone and see if that helps.

Its your spotify and music streaming it has nothing to do with the veh. I had the same issue in 2 other veh before i got rid of streaming services and went to sirius... To expensive for sirius its $5 per month when you watch for the prono's and so much more convenient than messing around with streaming apps.. Their was only one streaming app i liked and i can't remember if it was spotify and its recommended music was spot on for what i like to listen to and then they changed something and that all went to crap..

Sirius plays what THEY want me to hear. With streaming I only have to listen to my choices, and no DJ running off at the mouth. Spotify has worked great in my last three F150s. So I'm thinking it is something fairly simple.

I've cleared my Spotify cache as was suggested. We will see how it goes.
And I guess it's everyone to their own notion. I had Sirius for years. I found that I only listened to one station, primarily. Yes the songs were decent. I just prefer to pick my own and not have to listen to the djs.

I can attest it is NOT just Spotify. I don't use Spotify at all. Just playing music from my library on my Iphone connected via BT skips. It sounds like a discman from the 90's sometimes. Its annoying as hell.

One thing to try: I think you can choose to turn off Android Auto and/or select a bluetooth source for audio instead of using the app through AA. You may try that and just play direct from your phone to see if it does the same. There are some funky things with AA using both wifi and bluetooth for different things.

Another thing to try with Android Auto running your app: I believe if you go into the bluetooth connections on your phone, you can find your truck listed in there. Click the gear icon and it should show what you want to allow the truck to use bluetooth for. Try turning off "Media audio". Keep in mind with that off, option 1 will not work.

On the Sirius vs Spotify debate.....If you have SiriusXM it comes with streaming and SiriusXM owns Pandora. You can put the app on your phone (or stream through other devices) and search for any artist and it'll build a station for you based around that artist. Then you can add that channel to your library. Go into your library and click play beside your artist station. No commercials. You can also download all kinds of content like shows/podcasts/etc that you can listen to while offline. My wife's lease car comes with SiriusXM so I set up the Sirius account and manage the radio and my own user name for the streaming service (you only get one streaming user). When I drive her car, half the time I use the SiriusXM app on my phone instead of the car's SiriusXM. You can also get an app only plan and it's a lot cheaper than the car + streaming plan.
