Default Steering play (Borgeson)

We have 2 F-150's in the family. Both have the same steering issue. Others I have seen have this issue also. there is play in the steering. All the steering components are good. the play is in the "Intermediate" shaft. That is the shafe that goes between the firewall and the steering box. It is telescoping so that you don't get impaled in an accident. The telescoping portion loosens up, and alloys some play in the steering wheel. Ford ays they sell a ton of them, so this must be a common problem. I refused to put in a defective Ford part. So I found an aftermarket part from a company calle Borgeson. Very expensive @ around $300. But it did the trick. It is also very rugged. Must be cut to fit, but that was easy. Now my steering is tight. You'd think that for that price, it would be an exact fit.
