Its always called the "stealer" when you go to the dealership, I had really never had a legit full on experience with the stealer. Hauled a uhaul from Utah to northern Ca and back. So I took the gas pig in to get it serviced and make sure all was well. Found out the front ball joints were bad and quoted me just under a 1000 for both sides parts and labor. I went there for the family discount but they didnt recognize the name, so I left and had my wife call her cousin.
He told her to bring the truck in so he could look at it, sure enough both sides needed new ball joints. The dealer first told me it would take them awhile to get the work done and would have to drop it off, when my wife took it in to have her cousin look at it, he fixed it all within an hour and it cost us 75 bucks!
I realize that he got it all at cost but the dang labor wasnt anywhere near what they were telling me.
Just makes you angry
