Question Starting problems. any help?

First of all it all started when driving thru pretty deep pond. Died, got it started and back in garage. But wont start now. I have put new plug wires, distributor cap, pulled the plugs and cranked it and no water came out, changed the oil and flushed radiator, pulled plugs and changed them (kinda wondering if one or more didnt get dirty while changing?). Well it now turns over and fires but just wont start. Crank on it and it goes to fire and kinda chugs like it wants to go but just wont. I give it a light spray of ether and seems like it might go, but just kinda chugs or something and wont go. Also noticed spark off of solenoid ( maybe from the mess of wires previous owner has running everywhere_ Any suggestions or help would be great!! I am not mechanically inclined but not dumb. So just trying to get it done. thanks

Check the exhaust it may be filled and the truck can't exhale.

You say it has a new cap and rotor? ... If it wont start with ether.. You have a firing problem probably....
