Default Starter Issue

All,
I have an 06 lariat super crew. The other day put key into ignition. Lights came on, bells made noise (all typical) turned key to start and nothing happened. Thought maybe the PATS may have kicked in so i disconnected battery Let it sit for 3 hours, turned over without incident. Ok two days later. SAME THING. This time I disconnect. Artery. Cleaned terminals. Cleaned connectors. Dropped wrench. Crawled under truck to retrieve wrench. Snagged forehead on transmission. Hit transmission with flash light. Got out. Reconnected battery. Truck started without incident. 2 more days later. Put key in. Bells worked truck won crank again. Crawl under truck. Hit tranny/starter area again. Truck starts just fine. WTF. Any ideas ? Starter? Relay ? Please help. E out

Sounds like the contacts are worn out. Buy a set (theyre cheap like $20) open up the starter and replace.
