Question stand alone CD player disabled by update

I have a 2019 F150 XLT with SYNC 3....... I bought a USBCDplay2 which plugs into the USB port and it worked fine until just recently. The radio gave a message that it needed updates for a while, I didn't take it in, the message went away, but the CD player will not connect anymore. When I try to use it, a message comes up, that this device is not supported , please disconnect. I took it to the dealer, he did the latest updates and could not get it to work. Does any one have any suggestions on how to get this device to connect again???? any help would be greatly appreciated

Is the USB port the problem or is it specifically ONLY your CD unit that is not functional?

Maybe a newer unit will have to be purchased for playing CD's if the technology can't talk to each other.

I do not think it is the USB ports, they will power the unit up, and my garmin up, but will not connect to them
