Default Squeaky brakes

I bought my truck about a good month ago and the dealer had put brand new brakes on the truck along with a few other things. When i first started driving it around it had a new brake squeak when I stopped. Well from past experiences that is usually gone after like a week but now these brakes are still squeaking when I stop every time. Does anyone have any idea why this would be?

It depends what the dealer did during the brake job. Did he turn the rotors and drums? What quality of pads and shoes did he use? If they used high quality metalic pads, they sometimes will normally make some noise. Sometimes shoes and pads will get a glaze on them causing noise. The first thing I would do is find a block of road and do some various hard and soft stops to try to break any glaze off. Find out if the noise is from the front or rear brakes.

Thanks for the response, I will try to do some hard and soft stops like you said to break the glaze if there is one. I'm not sure exactly what he did but I'm pretty sure he just put on some new brake pads. I will try and look at them in the morning and see if what all he replaced.
