Default Squeaking / Chirping?

I've noticed a weird short squeaking or chirping sound from my driver side rear area... It seems to be mostly on bumpy terrain and is not affected by braking.

The noise increases with speed I believe but on paved roads I rarely hear it- mostly off road on gravel driveways and dirt trails.

I'm lead by this to believe its a suspension issue- hopefully only needing lubrication? Does anyone have a idea what I should check for and what the fix might be?

Also, this truck is in excellent condition, no abuse. No rust, from South Carolina. I'm assuming its a squeaky bushing on a rear shock or something.

Any tips appreciated!

Thanks

I see in your profile you drive a 2002 4wd Reg Cab. I have a 2001 Reg Cab 4wd, and it was demonstrating the same squeaking noises when running on less that smooth roads. Turned out to be the sway bar end links. I Replaced them and the squeaking is gone. Might be worth a look.
Nevermind. Just re-read your post and you said it was the rear producing the squeak. Mine was in the front. Good Luck.

In my 2013 the culprit was the tailgate connection at the top. A little lithium grease on the posts and the squeaking was gone.

Thanks for the replies everyone...

It's definitely in the rear of the vehicle, and yes it is high pitched, like chalk rubbing on chalk...

Could it be a dear shock tower bushing?

I have that same squeak in my 06, I thought it was the shocks. I replaced them and it still squeaks. Im still investigating this but now I know about the tailgate being a possible culprit, might try that. Also look at your leaf springs if you want to give those some lube.
