Welcome, I know you came here for a quick answer but, what does your owners manual say? Regardless I think if you suspect its running bad because of plugs, change them. You will certainly get different answers.

Platinum and Iridium plugs should last 100k. I have had service technicians tell me you should change them at around 80k because after that they will sometimes get rusted in place and break off trying to get them out. With your truck being 11 years old I would replace them now for that reason alone if they have never been replaced.

Nothing wrong with removing one to take a look. If it's fine, put it back.

I would see if you can get them all out, without excessive force. Not sure about the 4.6, but heaps of threads about the 5.4 spark plugs breaking when removing. Which is why shops want crazy amounts of money to replace them, in case any break off.

Blow out the holes first and treat with your favorite lube.

I was thinking of changing them more for a performance reason than anything specially to iridium. Motocraft only go up to double plat as far as i know. Ngk iridium was the plan. Mines dont seem to be bad it is quite hard to tell tho. I might have one of them inspected to be sure.

The tuck will only 'perform better' with new plugs if the old plugs are worn out. Spark plugs are not performance enhancing.
