Default Spark Plug Boots

I'm new to the forum and I'm going to be changing my plugs this weekend. I've already purchased the tool to extract any broken plugs if I encounter that. My question is... Should I change out the boots while I'm doing this, or are they something that I don't need to worry about unless there is any visible damage.

I would change them. They can swell and crack causing issues. Just another maintenance item I would do.

Just changed mine this last sat, had no problems, they were all really clean except 5, which was pretty bad, Surprisingly i didn't have to use any carb cleaner or anything and my truck has 113k being an 05, just run some sea foam and grab some carb cleaner just incase, good luck though.

I looked up SeaFoam and it sounds like it is a good idea. Has anyone else tried this? Did it help the plugs come out easier, if so what process did you use to get it into the engine?

If the OP has a 04-08 5.4L a PEA cleaner would be best. If not there's no worries about breaking the plugs. With spark plug boots in the OP I doubt it's a 5.4L.
