Default SoundScreen

I recently had windshield replaced and it does not have the sound screen logo.....I want to make sure that they put the correct glass in. code on the glass reads DW02354GTY Acoustic- GEN II. Satellite stated on the phone that acoustic meant that it was the sound reducing. not sure why it would not say soundscreen? any help or insight would be great.

A recent poster noted the same, i.e. Acoustic - Gen II

Soundscreen is OEM on many Ford products. They replaced yours with a non soundscreen, but it looks like it's also ''enhanced''. Is it a Ford product?

For what it's worth, my truck has the SoundScreen windshield in it, and it sucks. It's optically terrible. There are "waves" and "runs" in the glass that I have gotten used to after two years with the truck, but when I first got it I was really annoyed by having to look through it every day. It's like looking into a swimming pool. I'd rather have a windshield that's manufactured with proper optical clarity than one dropping the noise level slightly.

Hmm, mine is as clear as any windshield I've ever had.
