Hi I ordered my new Lariat with the upgraded Sony stereo (not Nav). Does anybody know if it comes with a subwoofer under the backseat? I hope its worth the extra $390 over the premium stereo already in the truck. Thanks guys

 

Yes it comes with a 8" subwoofer underneath the backseat!

 

Yeah as stated above it does, and its not all that great. Ive got one and although it is better than the regular stereo, it has it limitations. I wish that they would have gone with the 1000 watt shaker 1000 system like whats in the mustangs. A buddy has an older mustang with the shaker 1000 in it and its unbelivable. I hear that if you pack the enclosure with the same stuffing thats used in pillows and stuffed animals, you get better sound. And its cheap, and available at Walmart. I am considering doing that to mine.

 

As stated, yea, it comes with a little 8 inch sub. Not real loud, but it sounds very good at reasonable volumes. I had a pair or 10s in my '05 under the back seat, they were obviously a lot louder, but I'm actually enjoying the extra cargo space more than I ever did my old speakers. Maybe I'm getting old, lol.

 

For a few hundred extra, you could replace the sub and amp and have a much better bass response than the shaker 1000.

 

So, is the actual stereo in the dash different then the one it comes with or is it just Sony speakers and sub?

 

I have a 2010 screw, best i can say man is... It looks like same HU unless youre nav-ed up.
