Default something wrong with my clutch?

i kind of bolded the main parts
i got a 93 f150 4x4 4.9l 5pd 124500 miles. i bought the truck in june of 08 from a dealer ship. not sure what condition the clutch is in. i know it must be in good condition cause it grabs right away. but recently i would go down the road and turn a corner and be in 2nd gear and when i would be going after the turn it feels like my truck would be lagging in power(jumps), and when i downshift to 2nd coming up to a stop light the truck like jumps then, i push clutch in it is fine. now just recently i tried starting out in 2nd and i gave it enough gas and it almost died cause it grabed so quick, so i put it in 1st and went and heard a loud click noise like something snapped. now i hear a loud clicking noise when i shift every so often. my dad thinks it might be a pressure plate spring may have broke. what do you guys think it could be? since i bought the truck from a dealership im not sure what condition the plate is in.

yea i would suspect something with the clutch is on the fritz...i would put in a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and make sure to put a new pilot bearing in also

my dad thinks it is just the pilot bearing cause it only makes the noise when i either go in 2nd gear or push the clutch in to shift gears. the sound is heard every so often when i push the clutch in. my dad just told me to replace the clutch and pressure plate since i have the whole thing apart anyway.

yea it would be silly not too, i was replacing a clutch on a truck before where some retard must have not been able to get out the pilot bearing, so they pounded it in and put another in there too, boy that was fun to get out....
