Some 6.2L specs released

Keep in mind the 400hp/400lb-ft are estimates. Most likely will increase when released.
I like this statement for durability...
“Running it over 6,000 rpm for more than 150 hours, which is over the peak power limit of the engine, really puts it through its paces,” Harrison said. “We’ve tested it in harsher operating conditions on the engine dyno than would ever be seen by a customer who races.”

And I too think the Raptor may not live long. Think it'll follow the same path as the Lightning. Maybe 5-10yrs then discontinued. But the 6.2L will live on in the 3/4+ trucks
i would like to see that 5.0l they make. the 6.2 sounds good for like the bigger trucks and yeah i agree i think the raptor wont last long. and i would hate to have to change the sparkplugs on the 6.2 cause of the 2 plugs per cylinder.
Y'all can keep the 6.2, I want the Bobcat:

5.0 V8
, 500hp
, 750ft/lb
, 20 MPG
Heck even the Ecoboost 3.5 V6, which from what I have heard will be rated at 400hp
in RWD configurations should be fun. Its looking to be gettin' pretty interesting.

The Ecoboost appears that it is gonna put the 4.6L in the grave. I'd love to see an Ecoboost 5.4L v8, too bad the engineers at ford don't have plans for one yet (though that bobcat looks wayyy awesome!!!)
As far as the 6.2L is concerned, I'm surprised at the small increase in torque vs horsepower.

Actually the 4.6 will be replaced with the "Coyote" 5.0L 4valve per cylinder V-8 making an estimated 400hp
exiting times indeed!
