Talking snow in the bed - what do you do?

now i love seeing a cyclone of snow in the truck next to me on the road, its fun. but now that im actually the guy with the truck, i realized that i had never noticed if people actually shovel out their beds or just let it all fly out? i just shoveled out mine. in philly we dont get that much snow, but i can see more and more why people get covers on their beds...

disclaimer: i know this must seem pretty newbie to you guys, but ill take whatever wisecracks you got. i did a couple searches before THIS question.

the truck came with a ford duraliner. do these have built-in drainage holes, or does it just all go out the tailgate on takeoff. i didnt notice much standing water with a couple rainstorms, but this last snowfall came with a fair amount of sleet beforehand which froze under the snow.

Leave it, gives a little more weight on the rear axle. You will need it in deep snow, even with 4x4.

I always just left it, and then got a tonneau cover because I was sick of digging out my toolbox. Problem solved.

Only thing I'd worry about is the snow sometimes turns into a ice block and starts slamming around.

the water also drains in the front of the bed, and I always leave the snow in there unless I need the box.
it can be annoying though if the snow flies up on the rear window, and freezes as you go (if it's real cold). can't see sh*t!

On my Super Duty, I always used one of those snow rakes to get the snow out if I needed to use the bed for something. Now it stays outta there with the BakFlip.
