Smog Pump Delete
Hello. I'm having trouble with my 1992 F150 5.8 W. It ran great until I had to replace a exhaust manifold on the passenger side. I have removed the smog pump, bypassed the EGR and have done everything the videos on YouTube has shown except where the line from the pump goes to the back of the heads I just plugged the line off with a big bolt and clamped it. Would that be any different than plugging off the back of the heads? Anyway, now when I take it down the road it has hardly no power and when I push the excelorator pedal half way or further it backfires with no power. idles perfectly, starts right up. I replaced the TP sensor and cleaned the throttle body. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
