Unhappy small leak at the pump

i didn't know if this happens to anyone else or not... i also thought it may have been a safety feature... when im at the pump i have the lever wide open so i get as much gas as i can, well when im done i have a little spot of gas on the ground i didnt know if i was pumping too fast and there was a hole in the filler neck as a safety feature or if i have a small pit hole in my filler neck...

all help/ideas are greatly appreciated

Ive had mine spill sometimes when attempting to top off the tank, sometimes it doesnt. Seems to have a better chance to leak if the nozzle isnt in all the way and straight, so the overflow hole must be hit by the stream somehow if the nozzle is crooked or not fully inserted. Does it happen to you every time you fill up? are you topping it off?

check your clamps they may not be tight...maybe next time you fill up you should look under there to see where it is coming from..probably would be the easiest way to see which one to tighten
